Norton Partner Portal
Small retail businesses (“partners”) represent a major part of Symantec’s sales to small and medium size businesses (SMBs). However, most had low involvement, only using Norton products as add-on business. Symantec asked Pepper to develop an EMEA marketing web platform to help get to know these partners better, to identify the needs of the most valuable, and to increase business with them as well as their involvement in the business relationship. A further aim was to attract new partners—there are potentially 50,000 partners in EMEA—and reactivate dormant ones who had stopped selling Symantec products.
Pepper carried out the analysis and consolidation of existing Symantec platforms, and then created the concept, design, and development of a new single web platform where all necessary information about Symantec products can be found. Partners are able to create online accounts and obtain information about Symantec products, to enhance their marketing activities and save costs. Available in 15 languages, the site is regularly updated with the latest product information, trial ware, and marketing material. In addition, partners can register for the monthly newsletter, to obtain more specific information. Symantec has access to the content management system and can extract user data for local campaigns where necessary.
