Pepper’s task was to help sell more Norton antivirus software, educate Symantec consumers on how to use certain product features, and at the same time demonstrate how quick and simple they are to use.
Using live screen capture software to show the product in real time, Pepper created a series of online tutorials to demonstrate actual user experience and prove how simple Norton’s products are to use and how quickly certain features can be used. The tutorials were integrated into the buying process and included a voice-over recording to talk the consumer through the products and features at the same time as demonstrating them on the screen. While many competitors’ tutorials may last up to ten minutes, causing a large drop-off in viewers, the much more concise Norton tutorials lasted between one and three minutes to maintain consumer interest and avoid any generalizations or unnecessary dialog.
- The program was so successful in EMEA that Symantec Global decided to install it worldwide
- 15 tutorials were created in total
